Lone Star Pawz CATfé FAQs
Frequently

Questions
Our cats are adoptable rescues under our rescue program Lone Star Pawz. They were found locally by our fosters or members of the community. The CATfé is like the rescue’s cat adoption center!
For the safety and well-being of our cats and other guests, do not bring in any animals to the cafe. Our cats have been approved by our rescue.
One of our most commonly asked questions is “Can you take my cat?” Unfortunately, the answer is no. Lone Star Pawz Animal Rescue handles all intake/outtake of our cats.
No, the CATfé is welcome for all ages! However, please monitor your children at all times. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. We may ask them to leave the cat cave if we see hitting, kicking, pulling, roughhousing, etc. Children 2 visit free!
No, but we highly recommend it. Reservations are for 1-hour sessions, while walk-ins are for 30-minute sessions. We accept walk-ins based on the cat room capacity. Walk-ins may be turned away if booked, but we’ll try to provide the next available time.
No, we are not currently hiring.
We have a very small team of paid staff, all of whom were recruited from our volunteer team. If you’re interested in volunteering with us, you may fill out a Volunteer Application. We cannot guarantee that a volunteer position will lead to a paid position.
