CATfé Rules and Guidelines
Operated by Lone Star PAWZ Rescue. Health & Safety Are Our Top Priority.
To ensure the safety of our cats as well as our human guests, we reserve the right to
ask anyone to leave the lounge at any time if the rules are not being followed, without
expectation of a refund.
Please help us keep the cats safe, healthy, and stress-free by following these important
rules:
GENERAL BEHAVIOR
– NO standing, climbing, or jumping on furniture – The furniture is for cats
only. You may SIT at the white tables and chairs, and on the couch.
– NO screaming or yelling. Quiet voices only – Loud noises scare our animals.
– NO chasing, grabbing, or picking them up. Stay seated or crouched when
interacting with the cats. Respect the cats’ space. Let them come to you.
– NO flash photography – Helps maintain a calm environment.
AGE GUIDELINES
– Children under 10 years old must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
– Supervisors are fully responsible for the child’s behavior and safety.
HYGIENE & CLEANLINESS
– Sanitize hands upon entry and exit.
– No food is allowed inside the Cat Cave.
– Please keep an eye on drinks inside the Cat Cave.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
By entering the cat room, I agree to the following. In consideration of entering Lone Star
Pawz CATfé 8209 Broadway St #103, Pearland, TX, 77581, and engaging in various
activities therein, I, the undersigned entrant, acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Release of Liability
In consideration for being allowed to enter and participate in activities at Lone Star
Pawz CATfé, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Lone Star PAWZ Rescue and
CATfé, its owners, employees, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all liability if I or
my child is injured or harmed during their visit, including scratches, bites, allergic
reactions, loss, or any other incident.
2. Animal Welfare Responsibility
If my child injures or causes distress to any animal during their visit, I agree to take full
responsibility and cover any related costs for treatment or rehabilitation.
3. Acknowledgement of Risk
I understand that cats are animals with unpredictable behavior. My child’s presence in
the CATfé is entirely at my own risk. I understand that interacting with cats involves
certain inherent risks, including but not limited to:
• Scratches, bites, or other injuries caused by cats.
• Allergic reactions to animals, dander, or other allergens.
• Tripping or falling due to cats or café furnishings.
I acknowledge that the cats at the café may behave unpredictably and that these risks
cannot be eliminated entirely.
4. Emergency Care Authorization
I authorize the staff to provide or seek emergency medical attention for my child if
needed. I am responsible for all related costs.
5. Compliance with Rules
I will ensure my child follows all posted rules. I understand that failure to comply may
result in being asked to leave without a refund.
6. Legal Authority & Indemnity
I confirm I have legal authority to sign on behalf of myself AND my child(ren) if
applicable and agree to indemnify Lone Star PAWZ Rescue and the CATfe from
any legal claims arising from our visit.
I understand that children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
